  • Department for Education
    The Department for Education is responsible for education and children's services.
  • Education Funding Agency
    The Education Funding Agency funds the education system for 3- to 19-year-olds (or up to 25 for learners with a disability), including academies, Free Schools, maintained schools and sixth form colleges.
  • Standards and Testing Agency
    The Standards and Testing Agency is responsible for the development and delivery of all statutory assessments from early years to the end of Key Stage 3.
  • Teaching Agency
    The Teaching Agency is responsible for the recruitment, supply, and initial training and development of teachers. It also supports the recruitment and development of early education and childcare workers, special educational needs coordinators and education psychologists. It oversees the regulation of the conduct of teachers and provides support to staff involved in the administration of examinations.
  • National College for School Leadership
    The National College for School Leadership is responsible for the development and support of school and early years leaders so they can make a positive difference to children’s lives.
