The Diploma of School Business Management (DSBM) develops the leadership and management skills of school business managers (SBM), enabling them to fulfil a strategic role in determining the direction of their school.
DSBM is one of several training opportunities that we offer SBMs.
You must be an experienced SBM working as a member of, or closely with, the senior leadership team, or have experience equivalent to this.
Applicants are split into two categories, please check the eligibility for each category to see which is appropriate for you.
DSBM comprises 5 phases broken down into 9 modules. You will complete the modules using a variety of learning methods including face-to-face sessions, online modules, school-based projects and private study. In order to successfully complete the programme you are required to attend all the face-to-face sessions.
You should be comfortable using a computer and the internet, and have access to a computer with a broadband internet connection.
12–15 months, depending on your personal circumstances and learning style.

We are currently moving our leadership development activity to a licensed approach and, therefore, we are currently unable to offer programmes to internal, independent and aspiring applicants. Details of how to apply for future cohorts will be available in 2014, until the new licensed providers are in place we will have no information on start dates of programmes or application rounds.
