This section contains information on the transfer of data as part of coordinated admissions. The Admissions Code requires that applications for school places are made to the 'home' LA in which the parent/carer lives. As a result, LAs need to exchange application and allocation data on a regular basis. In addition, admitting authority schools need to receive and rank children applying through the 'home' LA according to their oversubscription criteria. The increasing use of online applications, allocations and acceptance also requires data transfer protocols.

The specifications, processes and guidance for the electronic transfer of data to enable the efficient and effective implementation of coordinated admissions can be found in this section.
