Scope note / definition

1994-2004. Equipped young people with technician, craft and supervisory skills. In 2001 reorganised as Foundation Modern Apprenticeships (previously National Traineeships (level 2 NVQ) and Advanced Modern Apprenticeships (level 3 NVQ and above)). See also Graduate Apprenticeships.
