Scope note / definition

Set up in July 2007, chaired by the Prime Minister and the Secretary of State, drawing its membership from leaders in business, universities and the voluntary sector as well as school leaders. Its aim was to champion the transformation of expectations of the education system and to advise on strategy and measures to achieve world-class education. 2007/unknown
